The Gwapo's Guide to Getting Your Crush's Attention
You may already have the looks, but it's going to take more than that to get the girl. Make that extra effort, and you'll surely reap the rewards (A.K.A. That date you've been planning in your head for some time now.)
Be sure to compliment her
...not just for her looks, but for her accomplishments at work or in class as well. Congratulate her for getting a perfect score in that difficult exam and tell her that all those late nights spent studying paid off. Let her know how awesome her closing arguments were for your mock debate that you just couldn't help but concede. You can also keep it simple and express how much you appreciate her musical taste when you overhear her playlist through her earphones on the elevator.
For girls, there's nothing more appealing than a guy who appreciates you not just for your appearance, but also for your brains, personality, and skills.
Don't just hear her when she speaks. Listen to her and pay attention to the stories she shares-even her slightest reactions to the things you say. It can tell you a lot about what she likes, what she doesn't, and how she feels about certain topics. Remembering little details about things you once talked about in passing = instant pogi points.
Find out about her interests... and get into them
This is another time when paying attention to what she says comes into play. If you're lucky enough, you'll find out that she's as much of a gamer as you are. If not, then you'll just have to put in a little more work.
Now, we're not saying you should force yourself into liking the things she does-or God forbid, fake liking the same stuff. It's more about giving the things she likes a try. Watch an episode of her favorite K-drama or check out what all the fuss is about with spoken word poetry. Dabble in a little bit of everything and you're bound to find something that you will find enjoyable. Finding common ground is an integral step to capturing her interest and her heart in the long run.
Be good at something
It's not even about channeling your inner alpha male. Excelling at something makes you stand out, and when you stand out, it'll be hard for her not to take notice.
It doesn't have to be some big, flashy talent, like say, shredding it on the guitar. (Although, that won't hurt at all!) If you're real tech-savvy, you can use that to your advantage in case she's having issues with the latest iOS10 update. Impress her with your troubleshooting know-how, and you can become her go-to guy for gadget advice. It's one way to get to talk to her more and hopefully get to know her better.
Take good grooming seriously
Cement your kagwapuhan by keeping your face oil, dirt, and pimple-free. After all, a flawless face always will easily score you a major pogi point. Comb your hair more than that one time before you leave the house. Spray on a nice fragrance, and wear your clothes well-don't let them wear you.
